Miranda Cosgrove ( Stay my baby)

Summer love isn't meant to be and it's only fantasy that's what everyone's telling me, stay my baby
Even know it's a little rushed let me know that you'll keep in touch
If you don't it will hurt too much, stay my baby
Oh-oh-oh-oh tell me right now oh-oh-oh-oh how it's going down

Everything will be ok, everything will be alright
I know that it will go my way if you stay my baby
I'm never gonna give you up I'm never gonna have enough
So now 'til forever stay my baby

Now that I've gone back to school all I did was think of you
Sitting up here in my room, going crazy
But then you call, gets me through it all
Everytime I hear you say, stay my baby

Everything will be ok, everything will be alright
I know that it will go my way if you stay my baby
I'm never gonna give you up I'm never gonna have enough
So now 'til forever stay my baby
(stay my baby)

Stay my baby, stay my baby, stay my baby, stay my baby

Tell me right now oh-oh-oh-oh how it's going down
Everything will be ok everything will be alright
I know that it will go my way if you stay my baby
I'm never gonna give you up I'm never gonna have enough
So now 'til forever stay my baby

Stay my baby stay my baby stay my baby stay my baby
I'm never gonna give you up I'm never gonna have enough
So now 'til forever stay my baby
Stay my baby

Miranda Cosgrove (About ou now

Maybe I'm wrong
You decide
Shoulda been strong
Yet I lied
Nobody gets me like you
Couldn't keep hold of you then
How could I know what you meant
There was no friend to compare to
There's a mountain between us
But there's one thing I'm sure of
That I know how I feel about you

[Chorus]
Can we bring yesterday back around
Cause I know how I feel about you now
I was dumb I was wrong
I've let you down
But I know how I feel about you now

I'll bet it takes one more chance
Don't let our next kiss be our last
I'm outta my mind just to show you
I know everything changes
I don't care where it takes us
Cause I know how I feel about you

[Chorus]

Not a day passed me by
Not a day passed me by
When I don't think about you
And there's no moving on
Cause I know you're the one
And I can't be without you

[Chorus] (x2)

But I know how I feel about you now
Yea I know how I feel about you now

Miranda Cosgrove (Head phones on) song

10:28 on the digital clock
I know it's late but I
Just can't stop
All this jumpin' around
All this wastin' time
It's getting to be a habit of mine
You would think that I didn't wanna get paid
I'm not the type to procrastonate
But a girl can't always be well behaved

CHORUS
Wanna stay home with my headphones on
With the stuff on the floor
And the lock on my door
I lost the keys in the mess I made
So I can't go anywhere anyway
So rock on
With my headphones on

Got a lot of nothin' to do
I'm not getting it done
And I'm loving it too
24 hours since I've been outside
But it feels okay
It feels alright
I could go to school another day
Don't understand why I dance all day
You know what they say about
All work & no play

(Chorus)

With the headphones on
It's like fireworks in my head
Above the clouds
I may never get to bed
Can't turn back now
Don't wanna come down
You would think I don't wanna get paid
I'm not the type to procrastinate
But a girl can't always be well behaved
Wanna stay home with my headphones on
With the stuff on the floor
And the lock on my door
I lost my keys in the mess I made
So I can't go anywhere anyway
Wanna stay home with my headphones on
With the stuff on the floor
And the lock on my door
I lost my keys in the mess I made
So I can't go anywhere anyway
Rock on
With the headphones on
With the headphones on
With the headphones on

iCarly

On iCarly, Kress plays Freddie Benson, iCarly's technical producer, which stars the character's two best friends, Carly and Sam.[4][5] The character has a crush on character Carly Shay (played by series star Miranda Cosgrove), and a feuding, sarcastic relationship with Carly's best friend and web-show co-star, Sam (played by Jennette McCurdy).

The show, Nickelodeon's most-watched show aimed at tweens, catapulted Kress to national fame among adolescents.[6] Kress' performance on the show has been characterized by one reviewer as "sweetly nerdy"

Miranda Cosgrove

Miranda Taylor Cosgrove (born May 14, 1993)[1] is an American teen actress and singer. She is best known for her roles as Megan Parker in Drake and Josh, Summer Hathaway in School of Rock and as Carly Shay in iCarly. Her career began in 2001 when she was spotted by an agent who was so impressed by her singing and dancing in a restaurant called "Taste of LA" that he signed her up for a number of small roles in commercials.[2][3] She is currently starring in iCarly.

When Miranda Cosgrove was eight years old, she sang and danced at a restaurant called "Taste of LA." A talent agent was impressed, and signed her up for his talent agency. This led to a career in advertising soon after, as well as other roles and shows. She currently stars on Nickelodeon's iCarly and is credited with four songs on the soundtrack. She began homeschooling after she finished elementary school, at Maude Price Elementary School in Downey, California, and then enrolled in an online school program which she has been doing since 2006. She is an only child.[2][3]

Career

Actress

In 2001 Cosgrove did her first acting role as Lana Lang at age 8 in the TV series Smallville, and after that had many other small roles in various television series, and appeared in a starring role as Summer Hathaway in the 2003 film School of Rock. She was cast as Megan Parker in the 2004 Nickelodeon TV series Drake and Josh, which gained a massive following. In 2007 she was cast in another Nickelodeon TV series, iCarly as the character Carly Shay, who makes her own webshow, acting alongside Jennette McCurdy, Jerry Trainor and Nathan Kress

Singer

Cosgrove made her music debut in 2007, singing the theme song for iCarly called Leave It All to Me, which features her Drake and Josh lead actor, Drake Bell and written by Drake's fellow band member. On June 10, 2008 the soundtrack to iCarly was released, including Leave It All to Me and three other songs, including the next singles, the cover of Amy Diamond's song Stay My Baby, and About You Now, originally by the Sugababes, and another track called "Headphones On" (which is also available as a downloadable song in the Rock Band series[5]).

Cosgrove's version of "About You Now" peaked at number forty-seven on the Billboard Hot 100. The single was later featured on the hit compilation album Now That's What I Call Music! 30[6].

She released a new song, a cover of Christmas Wrapping, for the soundtrack to Merry Christmas, Drake and Josh.

It has also been revealed that Cosgrove is in the middle of recording her debut solo album, possibly with a collaboration with the band Boys Like Girls. She was helped by famous pop producers the Matrix and Dr. Luke for her debut album.[7]

An EP was released on February 3 with two new tracks Party Girl and FYI. Also singles About You Now and Stay My Baby were rereleased and they also have remixes on them.

Miranda Cosgrove's films

I think that Miranda Cosgrove is a great actress and singer, and has a lot of confidence. I'm getting sort of off topic for just a minute. Has anyone here ever read the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan? OMG! Theyre awesome books! They're making the first book into a movie "The Lightning Thief." I think Miranda Cosgrove would be perfect playing Annabeth Chase in the movie, with Jake T. Austin playing Percy Jackson. GO PERCABETH!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.115.160.235 (talk) 17:00, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

She was in the movie "The Blue Elephant". She voiced the character Konsuay in 2008. Tawnyowl423 (talk) 00:07, 15 April 2009 (UTC)(TawnyOwl423)

http://www.miranda-cosgrove.net/miranda/miranda-filmography.php mentions that Miranda Cosgrove starred in 'What's New, Scooby-Doo?' and 'Scooby Doo Merry Scary Holiday (2004)' as Miranda Wright. However, there is some error with the dates, the website says the production ends over a year after the film is released, and this information isn't in the article. Someone else should confirm this before adding to the article. Shameen (talk) 14:30, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

So guess what? I got DETENTION AGAIN. I swear I think I get more detention than any other kid at Ridgeway. This time, Miss Briggs got all annoyed at me 'cuz I started yelling BOOOOOOO!!! at this dumb dancing man in a SKIRT. But I HAD to yell BOOOO 'cuz his dancing made me wanna puke up my breakfast. So Miss Briggs got all mad and said "Who started the boo-ing?" -- I tried to blame it on Gibby, but I got detention. Again.

Anyway, a few days later I was hanging out with Carly and Freddie (at Carly's place) watching a bunch of dancing videos for iCarly and we all crashed (for losers who don't know: "crashed" means FELL ASLEEP). So I was sleepin' on Carly's couch and I had THE WORST NIGHTMARE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was in detention (where I always am) and Miss Briggs started playing her stupid BAGPIPES -- they were KILLING MY EARS. And THEN Miss Briggs had this microphone and HUGE SPEAKERS -- which made her freakish bagpipes even LOUDER. And then like POOF, she's dressed in this red Scottish outfit…and then POOF AGAIN and ALL OF US (the kids in detention) were wearing Scottish outfits! Sound crazy??? Well it gets WORSE! Something was like CONTROLLING ME and I started DANCING with all the other kids!!! I wanted to STOP but I couldn't make myself STOP!!! I just kept on dancing while Briggs played her awful music! Then Gibby ran in (in his underwear). GIBBY NEEDS TO GET A TAN!!!!

Sound INSANE? Wanna see it? and you can WATCH MY NIGHTMARE!!!! DO IT!!!!! L8R.

Carly (Miranda Cosgrove) is the teen star of her own popular web show, iCarly, which she produces with her two best friends, Sam and Freddie. She is 13 years old as the series begins. Carly lives with her 26-year old brother Spencer in the Bushwell Plaza, an apartment building in Seattle (which is depicted as an exterior shot of the Eastern Columbia Building in Los Angeles). Her father is in the Air Force but stationed on a submarine (it is also said in the first episode that he is currently in Europe), and it's unclear what happened to her mother. Because of the show, Carly is a local celebrity, which sometimes helps her get out of sticky situations, but she remains an average teenage girl who never lets fame get to her head. Carly is quite intelligent and, unlike Miranda Cosgrove's previous role, Megan Parker, from Drake and Josh, hates to lie about anything or anyone, implied in the episode iPromise Not to Tell, where she was overcome by guilt when forced to keep Sam's troublemaking a secret. Carly usually has very high grades in school (but has never had a straight A report card) and is even offered a scholarship to Briarwood Academy, an elite private school. She often acts as a peacemaker when Sam and Freddie fight.

Samantha "Sam" Puckett

Sam (Jennette McCurdy) is Carly's best friend and co-host of iCarly. While she's also friends with Freddie, their relationship is strained at best, since Sam enjoys tormenting him. However, her first kiss was with him, though nothing ever came of it. She usually goes to great lengths to torment him, such as revealing his secret to the whole viewing world, hitting him continuously with a tennis racket, and pushing him off elevated areas. Sam tends to be the opposite of her best friend; while Carly is the level-headed one, Sam is argumentative, hot-tempered, sarcastic, stubborn, and at times intimidating. Sam is almost always at Carly's apartment to get away from her family; it's implied that she has a dysfunctional home life and an unreliable mother, who apparently never wakes up before 12:00 p.m., and is supported more by Sam than vice versa. Sam is also a troublemaker and extremely lazy, and as a result she often gets in trouble with Principal Franklin (who she calls by his first name, Ted) and other authority figures, especially Miss Francine Briggs

Fredward "Freddie" Benson

Freddie (Nathan Kress) is the technical producer of iCarly and Carly's neighbor who lives across the hall, where he stays with his obsessively protective mother, who would have preferred a daughter. He has a huge crush on Carly, though Carly has made it clear that at the moment, she is not interested. While he and Sam are actually best friends, he bears the brunt of her abuse and they have a somewhat hostile relationship. Freddie has had one girlfriend, an iCarly fan with ulterior motives named Valerie in the episode iWant To Date Freddie. However, his first kiss was with Sam in the episode "iKiss", although they claimed it was "just to get their first kiss over with," and nothing ever came of it. Freddie is also particularly close to Carly's brother Spencer, whom he tends to rely on as an older male figure.

spencer shay

Spencer (Jerry Trainor) is Carly's 26-year-old brother and legal guardian. He is an artist by profession and is a sculptor. He is goofy, weird, and immature (which sometimes embarrasses Carly), but he has also proven to others that he is a responsible guardian to Carly. Spencer went to law school for three days, and his marginal law knowledge has occasionally proven useful to Carly and her friends, such as in the episode iPromote Techfoots, when Carly and the gang use Spencer as their lawyer to get out of a contract with Daka Shoes. As a running gag, whenever Spencer builds or fixes anything except his own sculptures, it tends to burst into flames spontaneously like he's pyrokinetic. Spencer's best friend is Socko, who sells socks; and his brother Tyler, who sells ties. The two also have an uncle named Otto (a pun of auto) who works with cars and a cousin named Rob who steals things
